Have your Say on The Grove Way Update
Published on July 2021
Thank you for having your say on The Grove Way. Your views are so important to help inform me what to advocate most strongly for.
Following my representation to the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Hon Corey Wingard on behalf of local constituents, I am pleased to communicate that the Department of Infrastructure and Transport have advised me a $10 million package of planning works will include a study of the Main North Road corridor. I am excited to say, the intersection of Main North Road / The Grove Way / Saints Road will be considered as part of this study.
In my representations to the Minister I have also highlighted further issues you have raised to me which you believe are causing congestion, traffic and safety issues along The Grove Way. Like constituents, I am concerned that the congestion currently experienced will be further exacerbated by future housing development in surrounding areas.
I have sent off your most recent feedback to the Minister to highlight the issues and ideas presented by our local community. If you know neighbours who have not had the opportunity to have their say on The Grove Way please provide them the link: https://www.paulaluethen.com.au/have-your-say-on-the-grove-way or ask them to contact me with their support or feedback.
The Marshall Liberal Government are listening and delivering on projects our local community raised as important. For example, the Marshall State Government and the Morrison Federal Government is working in collaboration to deliver a $13 million upgrade to the Main North Road, Kings Road and McIntyre Road Intersection right now. This upgrade is essential in order to reduce the risk of future accidents for the approximately 81,550 vehicles travelling through the intersection daily, on average.
Thanks for sharing your views with me and I will keep you up to date on developments. I am here for you and I have your back.
